Follow along as I try to make this 1967 Skidoo run again... lets just say mistakes were made.

My first snowmobile was a 67’ Ski-doo Olympic (Not Super) If I remember correctly the hood was riveted on and I believe mine had a snow flap. It sure wasn’t fast with only ten hp but it went through the deep snow with ease. Great little sled for 67’ and great times. Thanks for bringing back a few memories. Nice video too by the way. 👍

Great old sled, in Vocational school in 1979 we had a guy bring in 5 of them every winter to get them greased up and tuned up for the winter. They were the 12.2 hp version. I would love to own one of the old sleds I am actively searching all the time. In Lieu of owing one of my own for now I will just watch you. Great Tank idea, JeffinMaine

When I was a kid our neighbors owned the local Ski-doo shop. They always had 6 or 7 or more sleds in the yard at winter. There mom, the actual owner, had a super nice Yamaha. We had a 69 scorpion and a 72 arctic cat puma that would eat up there sleds. Always thought the ski-doos was less stable cause the track was narrow. Both our sleds had wider tracks. BTW they actually got caught selling the sleds they beat on as new machines. Lost the dealership. Sold the shop soon after.

Holding out for part 2, when there's snow, and hopefully you were able to do something with that gas tank.

My brother and I rebuilt one of those in 1974 in our basement . Under the supervision of our dad of course. This thing ran like a top for many years.

Growing up in Northern Minnesota, our neighbors had 3 of these sleds. We didn’t have any in our Family. So we all migrated to our Neighbors. They lived on a half acre lot and from 10 years old until about 14 we drove these sleds around that 1/2 acre lot for hours. I bet we put on 1000 miles a Winter driving around that Yard! Oh what great Memories! I remember when they got hot, they would backfire Blue smoke right into your crotch.

Great video!!! I just subscribed as I love videos about the machines I had or was around back in the day. I've had a 68 208 Snow Cruiser, 70 Chapparal 300, 70 Olympique 399 and a 72 Merc Hurricane 644. Thanks for the memories and take care.

There's a hexagon drain screw on the underside of the tank in front of the track, if that tank is really bad but not rusted but just crud might be able to clean it out.

It’s too bad they didn’t make some kind of bladder like they use on some sports cars that you could insert down into those thanks and then somehow attach it to the fill pipe
