We're looking at a 1969 Mercury Cyclone CJ in Competition Orange Paint. The car comes with the factory 428 CI CJ (Cobra Jet) engine.
The car's Owner is Cy Schmidt. Cy’s had this car since 1999. He shares he’s always like the design and styling of this one.

Just amazing Lou! These cyclones and eliminators we're too hard to beat back then. Nothing like the competition orange either! Being the only one there and around tells you that this one is rare. I do like the 1970 ones too.like you had on your channel! Thanks Lou love all.the trunk goodies too!

Years ago a neighbor had a 1968 or 69 Ford Galaxy 500 XL fastback with the hideaway headlights. The Mercurys were always supposed to be the better trimmed and optioned cars, but I prefer the front grille treatment of the Galaxy over this one (although the rear is nicer on the Cyclone). Nice find, and very rare.

Hi Robert Lee, Excellent suggestion, and you're 100% right. I get so excited about the cars when I'm with them sometimes I'm just moving to fast. When reviewing a video I think the same thing that I moved to fast in sections. I'll work on that. Wonderful car Lou , Passionate owner. I have never seen a CJ this year in Australia beautiful. Did you know that in 1970 ford Australia produced the fastest door sedan in the world!, the falcon gtho Phase 3 ,330hp- 351 clevland-toploader-31spline 9inch locker. if you ever wan't to take a trip downunder to check out Aussie muscle cars you and your's would be welcome at my place. Petrolicious did an absolutely beautiful video about this guy and his car a few months ago.It's on KZfaq.It's a shame the value of these cars aren't on par with GM & Chrysler cars from the era..They were very fast and attractive. You can find one in nice shape in the low 20's.

Very nice car! Obviously well maintained and loved. Curious as to why the owner neglected to repair the clock. In fact it seems more often than not, on many of the rides you feature Lou, the clocks on these beautifully restored vehicles don’t function. It’s not difficult to get them working so it’s puzzling why the owners who are so fastidious in the care they take with their rides ignore a simple issue like a clock! Their rides, their rules I guess.

Chrysler they we're our car's our way our way of life the American way i have owned some of the best car's ever made more car's than most people twice my age allway's payed cash no not rich worked my ass off here is just some as I said cyclone mustang's 70 1/2 Z28 71 Z28 72 Z28 with R.S. pack add all with 4 on the floor posey track70 chevell SS 454 4 speed posey track and pontiac G.T.O.'S 71 Plymouth 340 R/T duster 4 speed 72 dodge demon 360 R/T 4 speed 70 Plymouth cuda 440 six pack pistol grip 4 speed all had sure grip rear ends well there's just little list of some not including my other great car's hot rod's and truck's I had made a lot of money off each of them in more than one way 😉 🏁🏁🏁 😆 oh and just so you know no that list I text was no line no bullshit I realy owned all of them and more well have a good night keep up the great video's I allway's injoy them 👍👍👍 C😎😎L
