Ok, another first!!! When do you see a truly FULLY LOADED Plymouth Roadrunner??? Roadrunners by definition were the stripped down model of the Satellite lineup. The original owner special ordered this car with every single option on a base model platform. Super kewl! You never see this configuration on Roadrunner.

These cars bring back memory's. I started working in a Chrysler Plymouth dealership in 1969. So I worked on these when they were new. The 440 six pack cars were fun to drive but hard on rear tires. I remember a 1970 Cuda' with a 440 six pack that had to have the rear tires replaced before it was sold! I almost bought a 1970 440 six pack GTX but my Dad put the kibosh on that because I was 18 and the insurance was more than the car payment. I ended up with a new Plymouth Duster powered by a 225 slant six!

Oh what a beautiful car! Of course I am.partial to the 1969 model year as my first vehicle was a 1969 Plymouth Sport Satellite which was the same body as a road runner. Love the color and engine sound! Nice car Lou!

A friend of mine had one of these. I drove it once. It had neither power steering or brakes. You would have built up huge arms driving this car every day. It stopped best with two feet on the pedal.

If I ever win the lottery I’m going to buy 50 of these and start my own rental car business!

This is a first for me, on this particular car! That I can remember anyway. I could easily give this car triple Wows - but really - its so stanking kewl., it doesn't need em. Digging the non-spin wheel covers! Looks like the front tires are dragging along - lol.

The car is great and as an added bonus the owner sounds like Bob And Doug McKenzie.

Way cool hood... like it has it's own awning... for a picnic. Nice style n I love the orange! Cool doodads in the trunk. Was freaky seein the car move n not see wheel spin, unexpected. The passengers in the back were too well behaved, n where's the anvil? Wild rugged soundin engine. Love the vid... fun! Thanks!

Thanks, again, Lou! Cool car! It sounded pretty good, but it might have sounded better if it had newer gas in it. Orange with a black hood is a cool color scheme, though I don't think I'd like the "removable" hood feature.

Th corvette may have been a 10nth quicker in 69 but the roadrunner just as fast and nasty made car of the Year not bad a muscle car against a lighter sports car

american brands will have to go back to their basic if they want to survive... cheaper , bigger, simpler, old fashion low cost. with direct injection engine like that today would rake in 30 mpg... at 7500$ they'd sell like hotcakes everyone and his cousin would own one. the problem is they dont care as they get subsidy from govt, a modern car cost a little bit under 4000$ to make in modern plants, and you guessed it they get a govt subside of 4000$ for every car they build...so the car you see for sale in lots with extravagant prices are already paid for by you. thats why they dont care about sales number anymore or competition among themselves: cars are already paid for and if you consider all the raw material subsidies , employement subsidies, energy subsidies, taxes subsidies. they make money without selling a single car. that will kill the car industry, the day they really have to fare for themselves like in the days you will see great big cars for sale under 10K brand new, you can believe it. from time to time the govt pass an order for police cars and various trucks... this now count as a huge slice of their profits, again all away from the regular consumer(+military)
