Underrated engine.

Very underrated 450 hp was more accurate and that was gross hp at flywheel it was the torque way down low 2800 rpm that made these cars very fast 0-60 in 5 sec and 13 flat quarter mile with some fine tuning fun cars

Less than 300 is right!! Only 232 1970 Stage 1 converts were produced!! That combo,...is more than rare, I'd call it ultra rare.

I have a friend that has a 70 GS convertible. I think he broke his last transmission a couple years ago.

Buick had big engine way back. In the early 70's we had a purple and chrome Rivera or Roadmaster with chrome port holes on the sides and green houndstooth upholstery and a big bus sized steering wheel my mom could barely look over. My Dad could make that old car jump up and run! If I ever find another I want to make her my led sled. This car is beautifull..

Interesting that insurance guys can drive on either side of the road. :-) But this is an enormously entertaining show. Keep up the good work.

And to think I had one at age 17 in 1975 at age 17, I paid $1,200.00 then sold it over a woman. And I mean the exact same car, only mine was forest green with black interior with a black top.what a fool I was..

the most pathetic tire squeal take off in history at ;56 . I had a 70 GS 455 stage 1. I am not a fan of the 455 but that car was awesome. It could easily light the tires for 100 feet if you wanted to. Up to about 135 mph there was nothing in my town that could touch it. I'm guessing around 425 hp. Like most 455's it couldn't stand the strain and blew up just driving down the road one day. Replaced it with a 430 but it was never the same. Another car I should have kept.

I had both 430 and 455 and I'm a Buick man.. And i must say them 430 Big block wasn't nothing to play with on top end either..
