The 1970 buick GSX was one of the most powerful musclecars of the day. Horsepower was underrated at 350 (was closer to 400) and these cars put or 510 ft/lbs of torque, more than any musclecar of that day…. The GSX was built in 71 and 72 but was more of a appearance package and could be ordered on a 350 GS they also were in more colors. 1970 GM A bodies are my favorite, they all had the best styling and was the highpoint of the 68-72 A bodies…… after 70 the fun was starting to end and the Compression started to drop. The Buick A bodies of this era are very competitive in “stock appearing” drags with some running in the low 11:00 in the quarter mile in stock configuration..and on period correct Polyglass tires! ALWAYS been one of my favorite BUICKS!!! Amazingly, I find some proclaimed car guys don't know about the GSX.

I've had a 71 buick skylark. The previous owner swapped the motor and trans with a chevy 350 from a truck. The car hauled ass.👍🏁

Very nice. Kinda like a Buick version of a W-30 Cutlass, but a touch more upscale. Is this car yours? Great video!

Rich mans ? I drove a 70 Olds 442 it was a great car. it got 9 miles to as a gallon of gas. But back then gas cost 38 cents a gallon

these were priced a decent amount higher than the other A bodies from the other divisions, was more a executive muscle car.

It would cost a bit to fill it up now in CALIFORNIA the gas was almost 7 dollars a gallon last summer in SoCal.
