Ecosse Victim mentality will get you nowhere. It’s just a clip of mucky hooker-ridden kings cross with a large train station and public library. You don’t need to try and relate it to whatever’s making you miserable.

@@adminemails I don't think he's playing the victim. He's right. There is a housing crisis in the UK, and inequality now is the worst in living memory. The ability to scale up from poverty and be able to buy those swanky houses that are now in Kings X is nigh on impossible. Young people had next to no chance of buying a home.

I was nineteen year old American kid passing through Kings Cross that night, about thirty minutes before the fire.

Indeed it was. No particular night was associated with this vid. I'm just reminded of it everytime I come across the words Kings Cross. Watching the news in the early morning hours at the High Street hostel i was staying at was a sobering experience.

I played this for the first couple of minutes without sound and it could have easily been New York or any other large American city at that time. Same stage of decrepitude.

Kings Cross was a very dangerous, sleazy place back then. Full not only of adult female sex workers, but also sadly a lot kids being pimped out. When 15 year old Martin Allen was abducted in 1979, his family went straight to Kings Cross to search, such was its reputation for paedophiles. In a BBC documentary about nearby Caledonian Road, a resident talked about how in the 1950s, dirty old men used to show up at the cattle market to sexually abuse the calves. Others talked about how women couldn't walk down the street without being propositioned, there were so many sex workers about. The further we get from the 20th century, the more so much of it looks like something out of Dickens.
