At the age of six, I was sent to the store the get a loaf of Wonder bread. Unfortunately, my little boy pants had no pockets. A dime slipped from my sweaty grasp, and dropped into a muddy puddle. All the shopkeeper could give me was a small loaf of bread meant for making stuffing. My mother was not amused. I never did find that dime.

My Grandma was born, raised and farmed raised in rural Nebraska and Minnesota. All her life she made her own bread up until they left the farm. This is the one bread she had in her kitchen and the one bread she said was made just like her bread, cut with a slit on top with butter poured on it.

I never had home pride butter top bread until a year ago and it's definitely better than wonder, hostess, bimbo, or franz white breads.

There used to be a "diet bread" called Hollywood Bread. Tasted pretty terrible, like it was made of sawdust.

i make a special butter sauce and also spread it all over my bird too. mind you the last time i did that i gpt arrested for doing obscene acts in public..... 😂😂😂
