Totally shocked how steering Column was just tacked weld for the fix 😮 but I changed it over and also removed all the old wiring. Very happy on how the wizard is looking in the short time. I agree with you on the wiring Andy. When you rewire the whole thing you’re not in for a surprise fire somewhere. Yeah the oil , brake lines and gas lines will show you a leak, a wire grounding out under a seat won’t show til the smoke starts. That steering column looks like an easy replacement if the penetration oil loosens those nuts. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍🇨🇦

In all my years of working on vdubs i have never seen the on a steering column also the rear apron is off of fuel-injected Beetle or at least here in the states it would be ... Good video as always keep it up

Oh that’s good to know . It has a type 3 engine fitted in the past maybe fuel injection thank you

No roll bar mean no seat belt, I think it looks fine anyway, I’d leave it in 👍

Lap belts but 50/50 on roll bar ,my other wizard belts are secured fitting without a roll bar but something to look into cheers
