The way you filmed and edited this.... I've never ever seen a video like this on KZfaq. Such an original and innovative idea....up close filming, quick cuts, asmr vibes, throwing stuff on the table with big flourishes...where did you ever get these ideas from?

First of all thank you very much for your comment. It means a lot for me. It really does. First of all, I love to make videos, take photos and I have good quality gears to do so. The second thing is that I have a main channel in Italian on which I've released 150 videos in the last two years so I've learned a lot of things simply by doing it. Third thing is that I watch a lot of stuff and try to steal good ideas from creator that are better then me. Last but not least I work as a professional luthier since 2008 so, I'hope, it's not only looking cool but also helpful! The best reward for the crazy amount of hours I put on these video, are comments like yours! Thanks mate!

Hi ! Hope you're doing well . Great job on the Setup . You made it look better than New . Quick question ; When you recondition the Fretboard do you use Lemon Oil or Linseed Oil ? Your answer will really help me because I can't really get a straight answer from anyone . Thanks and have a great Night and stay safe . 🎸 Oh , I forgot to specify , Rosewood Fretboards , and my Les Paul has an Ebony Fretboard . As soon as I watched this Video I had to immediately Subscribe . Your Content is a joy to watch . My thing is to Play Guitar and very Minor repairs . Your thing is like Magic to me . I'm smart enough to know I could never do a Refret job or complicated jobs like that . I hope you continue to add more Videos to your Channel . Take care Dude . 🎸
@AndrewsGuitarShop
@AndrewsGuitarShop 8 ай бұрын
Hi Rick, lemon oil is good but Linseed oil is not. What I actually use is straw oil. Linseed oil is a siccative oil which means that when it dries it creates a film. It's a kind of oil used as a finish for example on flutes, clarinets and but also chisel handles and so on.
@RikJSmith
@RikJSmith 8 ай бұрын
@@AndrewsGuitarShop Thanks for letting me know . I was watching some KZfaq Videos last week that suggested I use Linseed Oil instead of Lemon Oil . I've been setting up my own Guitars and Friends Guitars for over a decade and I've always used Lemon Oil to condition the Fretboard . Then last week I just happened across the Videos talking about Linseed Oil . So I tracked some down and bought it . I'm super happy that you got back to me before I actually used it . Thank you so much for getting me straightened out on this . I hope everything is going great with you . Stay safe . ,🎸

I have this theory that it was the use of slot-head screws on guitars that inevitably led to the "reliced" craze... all they're good for is ruining a finish with a flat-blade.
