Collector Grade F100 Ranger XLT Short Bed in Bahama Blue! 360c.i FE , Automatic Trans, Frame Off Restored, Original Documentation, Virginia Truck!
This F100 rolled off the assembly line in Norfolk VA and was sold new by Skyline Ford of Floyd, VA. The truck was parked in 1986 and had been kept in storage until the decision was made to bring this rare bird back to its showroom condition in the early 2000's! The completion of a thorough cosmetic and mechanical restoration happened in 2004. This 1972 Ford F-100 was ordered in the highest trim level available for the model year, the Ranger XLT package! The truck is re-finished in the original color combinations Bahama blue over a medium blue upholstery and is powered by the original drivetrain! 360ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and a Ford 9in rear end sporting 3.00 conventional gears makes this an incredibly nice truck to cruise! Some factory options include tinted glass, dual side mirrors, vent windows, XLT woodgrain trim, a Philco AM radio, and 15″ steel wheels with mag-style covers! This F-100 is offered with the original dealer invoice, original owner's manual, and Virginia state inspection slips.

Little late to the party but the 360 CI was never offered with a 4V carburetor, only 2V. If there is a 4V carb on the truck it is not concourse correct. The washer reservoir is correct. I am curious if this truck is an original XLT. That was top of the line in ‘72. It does not have A/C, power brakes, oil pressure or ammeter gauges, and a painted gas cap instead of a chrome cap. I did not notice if it had power steering. My dad had a ‘69 Ranger (not XLT) and a’72 Sport Custom. Both had power steering and chrome gas cap. The ‘69 was a 390.

Big dent crease on the outside of the tailgate. What’s up with that if your going to restore it do right or shut up .

nice truck but it never gonna be worth what he is asking for it. Go to Mecum and get a better truck for 20K or less.

Are you kidding me? You made me sit through that whole thing and then you through out a totally ridiculous price that no one in his right mind would even consider. I hope you like that truck because you are going to have it for a while.

One would think you're right, but the old Ford pickup trucks are very hot. There are many reasons why this is and it looks to be a long-term trend. I owned 3 of them in the past and they were all very good vehicles, Chevy never compared very well to the F-series. Oh, just a perfect paint job can be over what they are asking for this one. Of course from a specialty shop. It's been 10 years or so since I sold my last F-150 for 1K, Black XLT with all the extras. Personal opinion; the new dawn of electric vehicles will continue to promote old ICE vehicles. We love ICE, while electric there is no love.
