The thing about coin collecting is that there are not a lot of people involved in this hobby. Include the fact that the coins are only worth what people are willing to pay and you have a formula for disappointment.

Been collecting for 30 years and never knew about all these error coins. I have a nice 1989 penny with a die break on 1/2 of the coin. How can I find the value. At least a 65 grade if not higher...

Newbie to coins & since moving to a small town in the mountains from the city- im finding most of the change im getting around here have birth defects, as I call them. So much so that I'm stuck on looking for defects & not mint condition coins. But also learning that great condition doesn't mean what it does in other collectable items where perfection equates to better condition, if that makes sense. This was quite helpful, thank you - subscribed

I watched a show Shaun Blue silver guy on the 73 75 nickles with mint mark wrong so I bought a bunch of mint 73 nickles in the cellophane. Two were low and one was also Doubled on Liberty. Pretty cool and it was lower than the one you showed thanks for the info. Also one of the first buys I had in 2020 was a Quarter on dime stock and clad missing on one side. I couldn't believe I got it!!!

I recently found a 1979 quarter, it was minted in Denver, but the mint mark "D" is a dot. Would that make the quarter worth more $$ ??? Please let me know.

Now I have 1980 Something dime, it has a 5% offset on the obverse, but what is really weird to me, the reverse doesn't have any offset. So what's up with that? I guess my question to you is do they both have to be offset or just one side, to be valuable? Any help you can give me would be appreciated thank you my friend. Oh, you just gained a sub, as well.

Good video but what about the normal ones that has no errors on most of them in are change and may still have luster or ms what about them even the ones in bad condition but not that many of them were left

For me, 1973 is always been a key date. It's actually my birthday, 3/31/73. So whenever I see a 73 I snatch it up. It's nice to know some of them are actually worth something, more than I'm worth, LOL I have a Roosevelt dime, that looks almost exactly like that magnetic struck one, even the discoloration is there, but it looks like the coating is actually missing off the dime in a section, like, if you peeled the Chrome section off of the dime in a strip, that's what it looks like. My question to you is, is this a more common issue with error coins or is this possibly some damage done by someone? It sure doesn't look like any damage I've ever seen, it literally looks like you peeled the Chrome off, like took a strip out of the middle of it, off the obverse of the coin....
