Dear friend, first of all, I want to tell you that your work on these videos are very helpfull for people like me who are entusiastic of repairing all kind of things but now I have recovered a Honda CB750 F model 1982 lost for 15 years in my father`s in law backyard. So as you can imagine, "she" will need a lot of attention!!! I beg you to help me with all the reading information you have, like the wiring diagram you have on this video and manuals or ebooks or whatever you think it could be of help and you can share to make my coming work more easy. I really preciate and envy (in the right way) your way of explaining on the videos, because you are very clear and understanding. Sincerely, Marcelo from San Antonio de Padua in Buenos Aires, Argentina

If your front turn signals are single filament, they were probably rear turn signals originally. On these bikes, the fronts have dual filament so that you have running lights on the front but only turn signals on the rear. Those dual filament turn signals have 3 wires...obviously. Nice video though, Dean. Always happy when a new video of yours comes out.

+Ron Icard Yep, my thought as well, former rear light on the front. Thanks!

+Dean Segovis You can tell by the lenses, the rears had a slightly frosted centre, the fronts clearer. Not all years had day running lights for the US, I believe, and not at all for other markets like the UK. My VT500 Ascot was Canadian market originally, and yes had three wires for the front indicators but a previous owner wisely did away with those. Which was handy as the only replacement I could find as genuine when I needed a new left hand one thanks to an old lady in a car park were from a CD250 which had no day running lamps.,

Hey dude I totally dig your hack a week episodes I have been doing my own custom rebuild of a 1972 cb750 and have found your shows extremely valuable and have learned a lot still even with manuals and diagrams, KZfaq as well as an endless surplus of forums I have managed to muck it all up beyond belief. It may surprise you to know that I have been at this for over a year now. I bought the bike running with an oil leak and some electrical issues after a year all I have is a dropped motor with a torn down top end frame laying on its side since it was the only way I was able to pull the motor solo. I have spent nearly every spare cent made in the past year on parts tools manuals fluids and lubes also electrical testers connectors wire spools. I followed all instructions still I find my electrical is a rats nest bolts stripped. Had to buy bolt kits old bolts seized, went through three cylinder heads one cam shaft., cam chain, rear chain and tension adjusters w/ bolts. New lighting. New mirrors new Rachel and speedometers. Every cable I have ordered as been to short figure it to be the tach cable miss labled as speedometers cable an error that would seem to be extremely.common since 5 maybe 6 shops have all done the same error and leaving me still with out a speedometers cable after a year bright side is I have plenty of back up cables for the tachometer haha but man this all brings me to a huge question one you have probably gotten hundreds of times but I am literally at breaking point haha do you ever make it to cali or anywhere around so Cal or possibly be persuaded to come out this way for a weekend or holiday haha cause I seriously need rescuing I can't afford a mech shop. My friends and family look at me like I am totally bonkers when I simply try to talk a bit of shop l. All they get is key goes in hole , key turns. Cross fingers and hope engine starts haha anything beyond that you just get glazed blank stare sometimes a blink or two so I get no help from any of them haha I really need to finish this project and the only way I see that happening is to import a genious to save my but haha I put the haha there but I am totally serious no joke j need some extreme help if you at least a little curious/intrigued email me back so I can explain why this is is so important to me and why the need and the rush. Maybe that.explanation may get you to at least consider helping well I'm hoping but anyways email is ( lazorethomas@Gmail.com) hope to hear back soon thank you for your time and the videos take care :)

I'm not a computer guy, but I absolutely love your motorcycle videos. It's weird though, apparently, every time I watch one of these my clocks run faster! The videos reach the end far too quickly! And now that I finished binge watching all the older ones I gotta do the long wait for the new ones. Ugh!

Your videos have helped to bring my bike to life. I can't thank you enough for that. I am at a crossroads with my wiring harness in the bucket. All clues point to a bad ground. Been poking around with a continuity meter for some time now, just can't seem to find the issue. With this video I've got the confidence to completely redo the connections in my bucket. Any additional tips you may have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for everything!

Good advice about taking your time, or anything, remember generally in the factory these were built by mostly unskilled or low skilled labour so if they could do it so could we.

you might want to try to change your switch handle bar holder to Bajaj Pulsar 135cc's switch holder, it is illuminated with LED light from inside, making your bike as cool as you :D or you can also use Kawasaki Bajaj 200NS's switch holder. the only difference is the Pulsar 135 LED is white, and the 200NS is blue. although you must modify the connector to match your bike's wiring, it's interesting to have your handle bar glowing :D

What kind of handlebars did you use for that bike? I'm thinking about swapping mine out and I really like those. I can't believe all those wires are hanging out behind the headlight on my CB750. I guess I'll find out when I switch the handlebars. I'm assuming I'll have to disconnect a bunch of them to pull the wires out of the old bars and into the new ones.

can you just tell me if you connected the black and white wires from the harness to the coils, or the solid black wires? Also what did you do with the ones you didnt use? I cant seem to get any spark and Im guessing its a wiring issues. no one else shows anything for this issue, and its the one thing you skipped over.
