Crank Up the Volume! This is a So Cal Rat Rod 1974 G20 Shorty Van with brand new zz5 GM crate motor pushing close to 450 hp after extensive head work done by Westech, GM NASCAR high rise single plane intake, Fastburn aluminum heads, aggressive cam (Lift 474 in/ 510 ex)(duration 208 in/221 ex) and 750 cfm holley carb. Sounds pretty good w/ straight headers

I built a 78 10 series out of high school that sounded like that. It was a beast.... I miss that old green short bus. LOL

@@chopperQ did you have any hiccups fitting the motor in? Was it plug and play to the factory transmission?

@@shtfvan8084 I would love to take all the credit but it was installed by my friend when he owned it with help from his buddy Lucky Costa (Hot Rod Garage). Well, that's what Lucky told me when I saw him last time anyways. Turbo 350 was rebuilt but not sure if it was original to the van. I was able to drive 95mph with no problem and plenty more to go, lol. It was a total sleeper with 2800 stall which wasn't great around town with 5.5mpg with led foot. It was tight fit with long tube headers but well worth it. Next time I see my friend I'll ask and let you know. Cheers!

What wheel and tire combo is on that beast?

They are 18x8 American Racing TORQ Thrust with 245/45 in front and not 100% sure but I believe 255/60 out back
