I must be a "true follower." Gia sez the problem is the nut behind the handlebar.

Great video! I've started the same policy of having the customer start the bike in front of me several times. I'll even turn off kill switch and let them figure it out. I agree that user error is generally the cause of issues once they get it home.

I have the same but I have electric problems with the head light and rear lights the don’t turn on only one turn signal but very weak but the engine turn on and run beautifully

@user-yv7tv9gg6f could just need the connection cleaned, they jet oxidation from sitting, the majority of them are in the headlight bucket, just pull each one apart and clean it, including the ones on the headlight itself. Hope that helps some. These are great bikes! Enjoy! 🐲Thanks for watching

1982 honda cb 125s is mine: FYI : ALL carbs been replaced with china carbs.. THEY got 1 TINY issue!!!!!! when cold u wull kick start your guts out if u dont know the bike trick !!!!!! once its started and first mile over.. wala /. all is well !!!! big screwdriver.. rap it on bowl- they tend to needle stick .. because close tollerances on well made china carbs.. bump bump.. pow first kick... or if sat a few days.. u have to choke it 3x kicks.. then 2x kicks the choke off! pow -good all day .. 1 kick after warm.. please follow this.. see the light- god has spoken !

Chinese carb copies are only fit for the bin. Go back to original carb and refurbish.

The way I test for spark is I just grab the plug while slowly kicking it over, if it gives me a good little jolt it’s good to go!

Just picked up an '82 cb125s with newer carb. Takes more than a few kicks with choke engaged when cold. Time to start running thru the inspection checklist. *Did these bikes come with an oem center kickstand? Mine only has side stand on left

You are better off finding a good used original carburetor and rebuild it using a Keyster rebuild kit, then no more problems ever, as long as you don't let it sit for any length of time. Most of the new carbs are inferior quality and either have problems right out of the box or soon after. But yes, first check points, and ignition timing, new spark plug will do wonders, only use non ethanol fuel if possible in your area. They came factory with center stands as far as I know, you should be able to see the bosses in your frame underneath, then just get one from ebay. Makes working and cleaning on these units much easier. Thanks for watching 🐲
I got same but bit newer and cuts out when idle, can't find the increase idle screw
@thedragon22994 ай бұрын
The idle adjustment screw is on the right side(sitting on bike) right in the middle of the carb. Unless it's missing the screw.
@jinz04 ай бұрын
yes thankyou, it was hidden behind a bracket that holds the accelerator cable, I got it to stay on now but only on choke, it I switch choke off it cuts instantly, anyways its an improvement lol@@thedragon2299

@jinz0 ok, that means the idle/pilot jet is clogged. The carburetor needs a good cleaning. The idle circuit is extremely small and even when people clean carbs they often don't get that circuit cleaned good enough. But that is definitely what it is. There should be plenty of videos on youtube showing how to clean it properly and the carb kits are cheap enough. Good luck🐲
