This is my first ride on my 1975 Rokon RT340 since I purchased it a few weeks ago. Some of the things I've been working on to get it rideable: adding a kill switch (a must with the automatic transmission), cleaning up the ignition wiring, cleaning up the fuel line, adjusting the control cables, removing/reinstalling the drive cover to fix a clearance issue (the drive clutch was coming in contact with the cover).
At the last minute I realized it didn't have a mirror so installed one from my spare-mirror bin. Thought I had tightened down, but didn't. This was annoying and is probably annoying for viewers too,
Observations after first ride: it's noisy, front wheel needs truing, carry plenty of spare spark plugs, wear gloves when starting (it's easy to bang knuckles on tank edge, frame, fuel filter), need to rig up a speedo, fill up tool kit, DO NOT rev engine UNLESS ready to go! It is different, outrageous, and fun.
