What a beautiful bike. Off-roaders, MXers and trials bikes looked so much better in those days

I agree, and the Spanish bikes were particularly pretty!

I'm with you, I'd rather watch a vintage motocross race than the series of massive jumps that they call modern MX. Going fast, staying on the ground with 4-8 inches of suspension travel was a real art. And yes, the gear box required a modification to the detent, otherwise the bike would pop out of gear in the rough stuff or on a landing! Cheers

Thank you very much! You can't beat the style of the Spanish bikes! Cheers

Back in the day,I loved watching those old Bultacos get lapped before they finally stalled out on the track. Ride Bultacos ride the best, do a lap push it the rest.

Hello, the paint I used on the Taco is Delfleet (PPG) single stage Polyurethane. The Color is called Light Hot Pepper and is code # 61395. It;s a great color for the older Yamaha dirt bikes as well, the ones that were the dark yellow. Just enough orange in it for a good match. Regards, Tom

Hello Alan, the Astro frames are quite rare here as well. There must have been a large number of them scrapped over the years because I've only ever seen two in person. Cheers

lovely looking bike.... werent the gearboxes a bit fragile..? proper scrambling in those days... the modern ski ramp moto-x gets very boring very fast for me...

Tom, that appears to be a '77. The '76 (M167) had the longer shocks mounted at the back of the swingarm, and the brake hub is on the left, with cable operation. Good looking scoot. Or someone swopped out those components at some point!

Nice liking the bull tacos .. have a question I have a 1976 gillroy Indian. 8 or nine digit PIN... Swing arm with a sloped frame told it was a 90 cc but was told it might be a 100 to 125 . The motor sticks out beyond a sloped frame design .also got the info that peticular frame was kinda rare. Still got the motor carb electrical..frames not rusted out for here in Washington state country . Still turns over compression with a Fiji motor. Does anyone have a accurate guess

Pursang looks Very nice still need a Astro Frame for my Bultaco Go Kart engine 110 and 101 Frame for my 101 engine been looking for years on the American Ebay and our British Ebay. Seems the American`s took the bulk of the Astro in 70s should of tried to buy one then but should of bought lots of things in 70s with the Prices on Ebay.
