Update: SOLD 11/22/16 - Shipping to its new owner in San Francisco
This is a walk around video featuring my 1976 Kawasaki KZ400 Cafe Racer. This is a new old motorcycle that has just over 2,000 original miles. Full custom cafe tail section (steel), custom upholstry/seat, matte blue and bare metal vinyl over the original paint. Powder coated wheels, hubs, new Shinko tires, new sprockets, rebuilt and powder coated forks, new stainless spokes, led tail light, Dime City speedo + tach combo, clubman bars, new magura grips, excellent brakes, all new fluid, rust free tank. Lightweight, runs great, excellent first bike or collector bike and arguably one of the nicer KZ400's around.
Located in Reno, Nevada (NV).

excellent work and cision, I have to ask, why didn't you polish or even s.o.s. those axel adjusters? that rust just sticks out there,,,detail man, detail......good on you bud...

Hi There...first of all, hell of a job you did here....congrats!!!!!!! Can you please tell me what paint color did you use on side covers and paints in tank?? Did you make the seat and the hump fiberglass?? Thanks a lot.....have a nice day

The matte blue, brushed silver, and red colors are all 3M vinyl. Paint underneath the vinyl is stock Kawasaki KZ400 (brown metallic). The seat hump is made of thin steel.

Thanks. No idea the sound. It doesn't repeat very often. Tough to troubleshoot.

the seat cowl and seat platform were fabricated out of lightweight steel. then goodwin & sons upholstery in Reno made the seat pan and built the seat pad and backing to match up to the tank. All in all about a $1000 investment.

The sprocket is from JT Sprockets. JTR478 - 45.

What exhaust pipes are those?

+EmeraldXV, I don't know the brand of pipes that were used. they were installed on the bike when I got it. I have the original exhaust as well. Sorry I'm not more help on that question.
