Hello David, I’ve manage to find a Schaublin 13 in Norwich and need some advise please on how to lift this correctly onto a pallet to put in a Luton van. I’ve tried searching the internet and I’m getting mixed messages. As I guess you have moved many of them could you advise please so that I do not do any damage to the machine please. It’s a 1951 machine with a standard head but not with no4 MT or 30 iso which I was expecting it has P25 collets both on the horizontal arbour and also the head stock. Was there a maintenance manual specifically for this age of machine which would show the headstock ? I also have a repairable headstock with drilling quill lever operated and fine feed off a Centec 2A mark 3 I believe. Adaptation needs finishing. Kind regards Andrew

You look bigger than the Schaublin. How tall are you? Very nice mill I must say. I believe Swiss machine looks way nicer than Bport. I'm not a machinist.

The 13 is considerably smaller than a Bridgeport, but it weighs 700kg or so. I'm 1.8M tall, but have terrible posture!

Sold shortly after this was posted. Machines in this condition are rare. If you are looking for one visit my website and send an email with Schaublin 13 in the subject line. However, I am only buying the very best machines these days and I don't anticipate seeing another like this. Switzerland would be the best source, but expect to pay £15 or 20K for a machine like this.

Speak very good, but better if you put a tesatast and verifing all axles 😉
