14,305 documented original miles! This Gorgeous Z-28 has been meticulously maintained its entire life to preserve and pass down for generations to come. It is show quality throughout. The colors are amazing; reminds me of the Batmobile!
EXTERIOR: You can floss your teeth in the mirror finish of this Black Z-28. All original body that shows like new. The Z-28 was fitted with a stinger style hood, fender vents, and aggressive rear spoiler. The vibrant Z-28 graphics and striping decals boldly pop off the black paint and give it a very retro appealing look. The 78’s were the last year second gen with facelifts which gave these new grill and taillight designs. It was ordered with the original matching black 15” sport wheels and are fitted with Goodyear tires. The Soft Ray tinted glass is all original and crystal clear.
INTERIOR: Flawless, immaculate showroom new condition interior. There's a difference between detailing and shining up an interior and one that still retains that “new” feeling. This is the one! These late model second gens consisted of a special instrumentation dash panel, high back molded full form bucket seats, and cut-pile carpeting. Everything looks like new still down the steering wheel and shift knob of the 4 speed. This Z-28 was optioned with color keyed floor mats, center console, an AM Radio, and black vinyl bucket seats.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is impressive. Equipped with the original numbers matching 350 V8 and wearing all stock components. This Z-28 has power steering, and power brakes. Again 100% original and functional. Look at how the brake booster shines. It was also equipped with a HD radiator. Everything looks to be original down to the hoses and clamps, and in new looking condition.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Original trunk, still with its original paint in fantastic condition. The jambs are glossy. The weatherstripping looks great. The original mat is in there and in excellent shape. It has the original spare wheel, tire, and jack assembly that looks like it’s never been removed.
UNDERSIDE: 100% original, well-preserved, rust-free metal; looks like a new car! It all depends on how cars are stored because they can get weathered underneath, and this one looks like new. The front steering components look original and like new there is no grime or rust. They are all still painted black, including the control arms and sway bar. The rear leaf springs are still painted black, and the shocks are still in their bright white coating. The power brakes consist of disc upfront and drum in the rear. They appear to be excellent. The exhaust has been upgraded with a Pypes OEM replacement. It’s a true dual coated aluminum exhaust with X pipe and dual street pro mufflers. Looking up at the motor and trans, everything looks original, fresh, and dry. It has its numbers matching, original four-speed transmission. The 10 bolt rear end is still painted black not rusted and again 100% original. The floors and frame are rock solid, dry, rust and rot free and still painted in their original black color as well.
SERVICE: we have receipts, showing this Z-28 was meticulously maintained, including brake and coolant flushes, a transmission reseal, and power steering hose replacement. She’s ready for another 100 years of preservation.
Because of strict regulations during the 70’s, these late model Camaro’s had half the power of what the 60’s had. That led to most of these becoming candidates for heavy modifications making it extremely difficult now to find an all original! That’s right, this is a numbers matching through and through a timeless piece of history.
A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.

Had a '78 white with side pipes. Red interior. Year after selling it. I met the gal who had bought and since sold it. We both wished we had kept as it was destined to become a classic. Starting to look for a 78 and my other street rod a 65 Nova...

Kudo's to the exhaust shop. Perfect exhaust note IMO Back when brand new, I was new car prep at local Chevy dealer in 1977-79 When brand new, exhaust wasn't much quieter than this.

I was a Chevy new car prep/mechanic from 77-80, I got to drive these plus whatever else was new back then. Not a monster muscle car (as was my old school ones were) but it was a pretty cool car, handled well and as a manual hooked to a 350..... not terrible. The build quality was pretty erratic back then.

Btw, those are not 78 taillights. Those are from an 80-81. 1978-79 didn't have the horizontal black stripe throughout the taillights.

Do a Google search on 1978 rear end images… that black stripe exists on every photo I saw.

As far as I know all the 350ci 4spd cars of this body style were produced in Canada and for the Canadian market by Chevrolet . I've always heard that this vintage Camaro was one available stateside with 4spd and the 305 or the 350 with the automatic transmission If this is accurate info maybe that is the explanation for the taillights . Every 350 4sp car I've ever seen in person or magazines was built in Canada .

The 78 and 79 Z28 absolutely did NOT have the black stripe through the tail lights. 80 and 81 did. Look at the previous 78 that was sold at Volo cars.

@@JKerr-iy2jr 2023 Toyota Prius Limited has a quarter mile time of 15.3 seconds. Even the lowly 1978 Mustang II had a reported quarter mile time of 17.1 seconds. I’m sure the Z/28 could beat a Yugo in the quarter mile.
