I found this collection of “outtakes” in my archive. I shot these interviews on the streets of New York in the late 1970s when I was doing a documentary on the coming of the information age -We called that the information society. The documentary I made was presented on PBS in the prime time in 1980. You can see the entire film by searching the words "information society" on my KZfaq channel. Unfortunately, my soundman and I asked people to give one word answers. It would've been much more interesting to hear much more from them but we had a job to do and just a few hours on Wall Street to film it. . As I look at it, it shows me that in a way, little has changed on Wall Street and probably on every street in an American city where workers are interviewed. But in other ways much has changed. Remember when you see this that most people at that time had never been filmed so this was a new experience which is why so many hung around our crew and watched what was happening. With the coming of cell phone video, very few can say that today.
