Yes, they were very handsome and nice.
Empire strikes back is a 1980 American epic space opera film directed by Irvin Kershner. Leigh Brackett and Lawrence Kasdan wrote the screenplay, with George Lucas writing the film's story and serving as executive producer. The second installment in the original Star Wars trilogy, it was produced by Gary Kurtz for Lucasfilm Ltd. and stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels, David Prowse, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew and Frank Oz.
The film is set three years after Star Wars. The Galactic Empire, under the leadership of the villainous Darth Vader and the Emperor, is in pursuit of Luke Skywalker and the rest of the Rebel Alliance.

"3 trilogies" HOW DID THEY KNOW
@rhetoric2k
@rhetoric2k 6 жыл бұрын
Because at the time of Empire and Jedi it had been very well known that that was the plan. Lucas told the actors that and it was even written about in magazines of the day. Lucas had lied over the years saying that it's not true and that there was never a plan for any other movies. I think it was mostly so he didn't have to keep answering questions about it(which I could also understand).

Wow, I didn't know that the prequels were planned and everyone knew about them even in 1980. Makes me wonder what the entire saga could have been like if Lucas continued making each chapter every three years and The Phantom Menace came out in 1986 instead.

The prequels would never be made in the 80s, cuz George Lucas purposely holded out on the prequel trilogy cuz he thought the technology wasn't ready yet.

@@noahdavis7406 no the problem with the prequels was that George was too established for the new actors to fuck with his script as the very outspoken and critical original cast did (Mark, Carrie, Harrison, Alec were all very critical and upfront to George) - check out "how star wars dialogue was saved"

in the end they say that the reason the first movies were a hit is that they protagonists were heroes. and everyone at the time needed to see a hero on screen. thats what we lost lately in all movies and in the last jedi specifically . most protagonists the last years are antiheroes. they are normal people with dark impulses and alot of character errors. even luke in the last jedi was portrayed as a broken man with dark impulses to kill kaylo... WE STILL need heroes , not normal day characters

Because they’re set 30 years later... Luke is a broken man at this point. Failed himself completely. Failed at being a brother to Leia, best friend to Han and Chewie, and failed his nephew. He even failed at creating a new generation of Jedi as being the last Jedi. There is reason as to why he wants nothing to do with the Jedi and his past adventures. He’s just- “a legend” and actually wants- “to die”.

Don't wear that "you never been around a cokehead" like its supposed to be a; 'badge of honor' or some other weird shit pal. Cos most normal people like myself aren't suppose to be around cokeheads 24/7. And no don't get all lippy fella. There' nothing pacific about drugs, people react to them in different ways, there isn't anything pacific about how you physically behave. It all depends on one's metabolic rate and metabolism at the end of the day. Drugs also cause you to react depending on your nervous system. Which is why there's a thing called O.D-ing on any substances in your system your own metabolism isn't strong enough against or too familiar with. Being; fidgety and nervous is attributed to many drugs effects, so unless you grew up with a mother who's a Nurse who dealt with everything like that for 4 decades and came home to tell you about it? Long before her retirement. So don't ever get condescending with me on here like that again jack, o.k. I don't need nor require to be around cokeheads 24/7 to fully understand how they react to substances, but i'm not an ignorant idiot of any type either. You can be very much well awares of what drugs generally do to a person without taking them yourself. Disputing those facts will make you look very foolish indeed, so i suggest you don't!

@@razkable It's strange that Lucas decided to give up on Star Wars in 1983 and end the series with Return of the Jedi. The plans were to leave the story unfinished and continue right into 7, 8 and 9. The big indicator of that is "there is another." It's clear that was going to be another character, Luke's sister, probably, but not Leia.

When asked how they felt about being a hero Ford deflected the question to Mark. When Mark showed he appreciated the kids and fans Ford just took his cue from that. On his own Ford would have scoffed at having to endure being anyone's hero. It was all a job with a paycheck to him.

I can see why Harrison is a bit cold in this. The interviewer sucks and Harrison likely feels a bit put off here.

heartfire451 Well, sure, but she seems like a nice person, very complimentary, respectful, and at least asking her questions earnestly. She was probably pretty nervous, which is understandable. I think he could've helped her out a bit more.

I feel bad for Harrison Ford because in a lot of interviews he comes across as kind of an asshole but in reality the reason he acts the way he does is because he is always is uncomfortable when being recorded and asked questions. You can see it in his mannerisms. Whenever he's asked a question you can see the anxiety kick in he always looks to Mark. It's kind of odd because his job is to perform in front of the camera, but I guess just being himself on camera isn't his kind of thing.

DeNiro always comes off as uncomfortable in interviews... Some people are just introverted and uncomfortable around strangers.

Maxi Dyhr You think so? I didn't get that impression at all. They were joking around a little bit and laughing together in this interview. They seemed to get a long just fine. Harrison Ford is just notoriously known to hate doing interviews and comes off as grumpy. It's even more noticeable now that he is older. Harrison is just a grumpy dude in these interviews.

I think he says "young Alec Guinness", so he's probably talking about young Kenobi, not Anakin Skywalker. It would have been interesting though, if Kenobi had turned out to be Anakin's twin brother, "Alakinas", or maybe even Anakin himself, now that we know Jedi's have the power of bilocation! It's not too late to save Star Wars! 😉
