I'd like to make a point about the oil injection in these TS's and hopefully any prospective owners of these bikes will see this. The oil injection on these old Suzuki 2 strokes is different than other oil injection systems. The Suzuki system directly lubricates the crank bearings and if you block-off the system and use premix...your bottom end won't last very long. The bearings won't get the lube they need.

Does that apply to a 1979 Yamaha DT-125 F as well?

I had one of these at 17 back in 1980 it was called an ER185 (Enduro Ratio) but it’s more or less the same bike, mine had a rev counter instead of the indicator panel or whatever that was. Living outside Edinburgh back then I used to take it scrambling around the coal bings and had tons of fun at the weekends doing that, then weekdays used it to commute to work, happy days, and of course I just knew they were the best bikes in the world 😂

This was my first bike in the 80s. Only different to yours I had a rpm gauge where your signal lamps are and my lamps where under the gauges. Also had a plastic screw on fuel cap. Easy motor to work on.

I just found an 1981 with the same mileage!.The suspension can be alittle ruff on the trail but since the bike is nimble and the engine likes to rev its actually kinda fun. All I did was change the tubes and get new tires with a nice knobbie up front. I watched a bunch of your other videos..man, your living the dream so cool. I want to ride all those bikes ha! That altitude must make jetting interesting

I love it, had one new in 1980 and want one again. I'd trade my 2000 KTM LC4 640 staight up for one but they aren't to be found in Indiana.

I'm rebuilding one at the moment does anyone happen to know where to get parts
@lr8820272 жыл бұрын
eBay. Although Suzuki has started making parts again for 'classic' bikes, maybe this bike qualifies. bikes.suzuki.co.uk/vintage-parts-programme/
