As a guy who is helping a buddy get an 83 R model Mack back up and working the road again, it does my heart good to see this old Pete being pulled out of the grave to go back in service! Good luck with her! With the DEF, ELD, and other BS, that is a good truck to work and the price on it may have gone up a little.

Lucky for that truck it sat down in Texas where the climate is more forgiving. I NJ where I'm from, that truck would've broke in half from being pulled it would have so much rust in a few short years.

Love the luberfiners. Essential for hot weather, hard working trucks. A beauty for sure!!

Even though this from 2015 this peter built was made the same year that I was born in 1981 this truck would be 41 years old today in 2022 if this guy still has it

What is the difference between the 359 and 389? I'm not up to date on the big rigs.
@MidwestSteven15 жыл бұрын
Many differences, for starters, the 359 ended production in 1987, while the 389 is a current Truck still being produced. The power plant in the 389 is more modern and "fuel efficient" if you can call it that, and the 389 simply has more government regulations slapped on it

@@MidwestSteven1 Thanks, I'm not familiar with the big rigs but I knew there must be a reason why the 359 was a favorite.

Looks like its pretty all original. Drivers side of the hood and fender look pretty straight. How straight is the passenger side? A lot of times the hood is bent up by the air cleaner tube from to much twisting on uneven ground. To bad its got reyco suspension, i'm not a big fan of them. But then again i haul dirt and lowboy. FYI if your changing to air Susp go with air trac if you can it travels over rough ground better than air leaf IMO. Good luck

I'm going to call you by Alamo next time I see this truck, not you the truck
