THE PICKUP IS NOT FOR SALE
Visual and narrative description of my 1982 Toyota Pickup SR5 with automatic overdrive and camper shell.
The Pickup has 56,869 original miles on it. My Grandfather purchased it new in 1982 from Bill Maxey Toyota (now Toyota of Huntington Beach). I bought the pickup from him in 2008. I have had a ton of fun taking the Pickup to shows and events. I've so many great conversations with people who see the Pickup and either they or their parents had one. It brings back a lot of great memories. I hope you enjoy the walk around of the Pickup as well.

My uncle purchased the exact same truck back in 1982 from Toyota of Downtown L.A. You have a true time capsule!

My Grandfather and my Grandmother used to camp in it back in the 80's. My wife and I have camped in it. Very comfortable.

I have a white late 1980 registered 1981 SR5 with this exact striping but with the older style lunchbox tailgate with the old lettering and Blue interior... Best looking stock decal stripping design they made!!!...

56.000 miles rebuild motor and auto!! My 89 Hilux 571.000km and auto NEVER TOUCHED original Toyota gaskets and seals, I can still get it off the clock 160kmh

Motor was rebuilt due to overheating.

I know why it was rebuilt ! But the owner was boasting 56,000 “original” miles ! When you state original mile you are intending to say the vehicle and driveline is original as it left the factory! As if I said my vehicle is original with 174.000 miles but it’s had five engines two transmissions and a cab replaced due to rust! Not original! As for transmission being rebuilt must have over heat as well! It’s a Nice pickup but not original like mine !! Only Japanese people have ever seen inside my engine!!

I have one Diésel 1982 same color whit 80.000 miles,,and one 1987 Turbo EFI 4X4 whit 58.500 original miles whit hydraulic pan ,I just know about 7 come whit this system in USA special orders!!

Nowhere that I know of if you want a new one. I've seen them every once in a great while on Craigslist for sale.

Hmmmmmmm sounds suspiciously shady. 56k miles, rebuilt engine, rebuilt transmission. 22R can run over 400-500,000 miles with regular oil, filters, & tune-ups. What gives with rebuilds ??

The motor had to be rebuilt due to a stuck closed thermostat on the freeway during a 102 degree day. The transmission had to be rebuilt due to plastic parts deteriorating over time. This pickup sat for most of it's life in my Grandfather's garage. If they aren't driven the lubrication isn't provided and the plastic parts succumb to the elements.
