There are some great lifters there besides Kurlovich and Pisarenko. Sergey Didyk... Mosibit... Stolyarov... Vladimir Marchuk -nicknamed "Russian Paul Anderson", he was the first man in the world to cj 260 kg and showed insane results in squats...

Yes, Taranenko competed in the heavyweight (110kg) at the 1983 Spartakiad in Moscow. I think it was one of his last competitions in the 110kg class. In the second half of the 1980s, he moved on to the super heavyweights and became one of the best supers in the history. He won his last medal at the Europeans when he was 40!

Awesome job buddy, did you recently get this footage? I would love to see more great lifting from this time period or newer stuff if you got? Thank you

The biggest official cj ever was 266KG. It was a world record set in Canberra in 1988. There is no footage of 270KG cleaned and jerked in competitions by anyone because it was never done so far.

А где можно найти побольше инфы про Столярова,Каплуна,Моссибита и прочих?

if i'm not wrong, pisarenko and kurlovich are the only two super heavy weight lifters able to lift his body weight twice, taranenko lifted 266 kilos but his body weight was 140-150, in recent era Lasha lifted 267 kilos, the best mark ever, but he weights 175-180 kilos and kurlovich snatch 215

Dear Harold, do you know the exact bodyweight Kurlovich at this competition? Taranenko performed 260 kg c&j with 129,8 kg bdw at ussr cup in 1986, also two times bodyweight.
@tibor6406 ай бұрын
More lighter lifters achieved 2x bdw in c&j, like Jabbar Salem (255 / 122,98), Chigisev (250 / 124,1), A. Levandovsky (250 kg/ 122,0)

@@tibor640 kurlovich bodyweight was 134, i don't have clear that data, but those lifter are in another level, nowaday nobody beside lasha can lift 260 or more0

@@tibor640givichev had a bud luck, he was so close from being olympic gold medal and Mathias Steiner made the lift of his live, even him doesn't expect something like that

What is identified the music composition from this clip and why its have forbidden, deleted???

Whatever was lifted in training is not counted :-) Besides, Rezazadeh has retired. If Mathias Steiner keeps progressing like he did in 2008, perhaps 270 kg will be lifted overhead soon. Have you seen the footage of Taranenko with all-time cj wr of 266kg in 1988? It looks totally insane, almost scary to watch :-)

6 guys from the USSR could easily win the world championship but only two I guess could participate in the world competition. It was the gold time of the super-weight category but at the same time the period of unpunished using of steroids.
