When restoring toys for boys, it's not a miracle how it turns out. It's a miracle that it still exists. I played with toys like these so much and beat them to death that my parents made me get rid of my old metal Tonka excavator, dump truck, and grader. I wish I had them today.

As a middle aged man, I wish I had the tools available today. Sandblasting takes out so many corrosive and toxic preparations. Oh and the powder coating is also a huge god send too. It melts to a really glossy finish, something spray paint can't quite match.

After watching the wonderful work you do, my adult son wants to get into this. I was thinking we would never be able to afford the tools that you use..sand blaster etc. Then I saw the sand blaster in a Harbor Freight ad..so I'm going to try and get him started. I know it takes a lot more with what you do and how you do it..but at least he can tinker with it for the time being. Just wanted to let you know you are a inspiration.

@@fncjr19712007 Yes, but just how many of these spare bits can still be kicking around. I'd wonder if Grandpa's old Charlie Weaver could ever be restored (kind of doubt it, would probably require replacing too many bits like the main bar stamping, and Charlie's shirt is very faded).

Hi ... and Hey Like what you doing . But you forgot one thing You forgot to put a New Spider in one of the wheels . Just to let you know . Micro Mart has an amazing selection of tools and other equipment . For example I got a air eraser which is actually a miniature sandblaster , that uses a fine powder but for health reasons it can also use Arm & Hammer baking soda which is also very effective . in addition to that the smaller tool is easier to handle and also works well with other air brush equipment and compressors .
