To be honest do you really think many people would but something like this anymore. I love older blazers but now all people care about is gas Mileage and ride comfort.

Many years ago, I had an 84 GMC Jimmy. Same thing as a K5 Blazer. 305 4bbl and 3.08 gears with automatic overdrive was definitely not efficient! Sluggish power and 11 mpg!! Those were the days!!

My parents had a 4 wheel drive suburban, they traded it for a dealer demo GMC Safari awd and later a real "mini" van. They kept the Safari until a few years ago, I inherited it. Still I would have loved to have an old square body. Ironically they downgraded to save on fuel in the mid 90's.. that old Safari was never that much better on gas. She's a fairly thirsty old beast for what it is. But, at least it's equally reliable.

It's weird seeing these vehicles with stock tires and suspension. Now a days just about every single one has been jacked up 18 feet off the ground and basically has monster truck tires on it.

I had a 84 C10 Scottsdale. It had the optional locking rear differential. I remember I had to back it up to make it pop out of lock to get going forward without the thing grenading. Also that locking differential helped me break the left side axle right in to two pieces. Never trusted that thing.
