I just wanted to share this as I picked it up before heading out of town. I haven't had much time to dig into it but really enjoyed driving this thing an hour back from where I bought it. Hope you enjoy this time capsule! Let me know if you have any cool build out ideas for the cargo area. This is actually very similar to the van used in the Netflix show Stranger Things Season 2. I believe the one in the show was a gas engine however.

I actually sold it a couple of months ago. Had bought it for $3500 and sold it for $8500. But it was built out with solar, sink, bed, ect. Really loved it just didn’t fit my needs anymore.

I'am Your Newest Subscriber Great Videos. That Van Only Has A 22 Gallon Fuel Tank On It Cause They Were So Easy On Fuel. I Has 82 G20 6.2 Diesel Conversion Van I Took 22 Gallon Tank Out And Put A 33 Gallon In

I had a GMC G20 van also with a 6.2 l diesel engine for 15 years. When I see your video, I remember all the good times with that fantastic vehicle. I now wish I had kept it. The tips I can offer are around how to take good care of it; Make sure you fit a tranny cooler, if you pull/carry heavy loads - be sure to shift down manually and don't allow the transmission to shift in and out of overdrive. And make sure you check the condition of the harmonic dampener on the crankshaft - and change it out if it's defective. I also had a lot of grief with the two battery configuration - the battery underneath the floor always ended up going bad and causing starting issues.

chriba59 do you know the towing capacity? Any advice for towing another vehicle on flatbed trailer ? Or car dolly? I have the same vehicle but it’s 1990 with 6.2l with 80k miles. Wish I could get a turbo for it. Though I haven’t driven it since new glow plugs as someone stole one of the brand new batteries and didn’t want to take a chance using the one underneath in case it mess something up.
