I had a friend who had the action figures. You knew after getting a good look at them that if you worked the ’Laser Lights” like the commercial kids do that the fuse that helps create the light would be used up in just a couple days.

I've had that song stuck in my head since age 8... and today at age 42 is the first time I have heard it in over 30 years and I am shocked by how well I remembered it. That's the sign of a good commercial... or at least one they played CONSTANTLY. I never got what the appeal of the laser lights was supposed to be. The kids are flicking the backs of these figures for all their worth, like stoners trying to flick a Bic that ran out of butane. Even constantly lit, not much of a selling point. WTF?
