God opposes the proud, but lifts up the humble. Bono’s not perfect, but there’s a humility and honesty about him that served him well.

Wow, I have so much to say about them💖💖💖, I have no idea where to start! I am a 16 year old girl and I loveeeeee U2💜💜, for 6 months now I hear their songs everyday all the time!! Before that I always knew they existed because my mom loves the 80’s music, but I never understood why they are so special! I started with 5 songs in my playlist😂, by that time I only began to actually understand why their music is so extraordinary and important to everyone and myself! Now I have about 50 songs in my playlists and I know each one of them by heart 💖, I love Bono’s voice and I find so much meaning in each song ! 🫶🏻🫶🏻 During those days the situation in my country is not easy, for 7 months people are protesting and trying to defend human rights and the idea of democracy and liberty! I try to protest whenever I can because those ideas and my country are so important to me!🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 I am sure that this is one of the reasons why I feel so connected to their music.💙 during this period U2 has always been one of the places I can escape to, and always makes me feel better🫶🏻🫶🏻. The fact that I haven’t met any other teenagers who love or even know U2 makes me really sad😢, because I really believe that anyone can learn something from their songs!!!!! Now I am suppose to see them live at the msg sphere in Las Vegas😱😱😱😱🤩🤩🤩🤩, and I really hope I would💖💖💖. Love my favourite band ❤️ 👉🏻 Love U2❤️❤️❤️

What's he saying? I was a big fan of U2's, as a teenager in the '80's, and they DID write anthemic songs!

GC, "Live: Under a Blood Red Sky" (-although, not all of the album really was -) had a few classic anthems on it. Roll the video tape, and you'll see how Bono paraded about, white flag in hand (-they had a thing for white flags, back in the day -), getting the audience to sing along with him. These days, he "cringes" at the thought of how poorly he used to sing! Goodness me. I'll leave that one alone. Happy memories.

negativland were the bright spot for U2. i'd like to encourage the headline writer to consider normal grammatical construction (eg. "are U2 fans obsessed with Bono?") instead of destroying english even more.
