My Brothers bought me an old 86 flhtc , have slowly started to fall in love with her .. your videos have helped me out because there isn't a ton of info in the early Evos . People don't appreciate them much .

I just bought an 87 one of those. Mines a FLHS though. Looks exactly like yours except for the color. Mines is blue that turns black in the shade. Same fairing and instrument cluster. Almost 88k miles.
@axlsnakedog Жыл бұрын
oh 87! very cool and very similar but yours will have a one piece starter instead of the jackshaft type and only a couple other minor differences. hang on to it ill let you in on a secret, EVOs are my favorite! very last gear driven , single cam , carborated harleys and very reliable especially in stock form! thanks for watchin, check out the flathead videos you might like them, gonna see if i can get a flat head 45 harley on here to. i apologise for the late reply i do my best to answer everyone but we all have day jobs lol

Thanks for the info bud, I’ve got an 88 tour glide and this was much more help finding everything (first evo Harley) then the manual!!!

Your welcome! I put that video up and a few others on the evo because i had the same problem. Theres a 4 part series where i basically tore the whole bike down and replaced all the seals! We also covered the brakes, and speedo drive replacement! Im glad it helped! Thank you so much for watching and for the kind comment! Ride on!

Synthetic oil is not good on those old gaskets. Evo should be conventional oil.
@axlsnakedog11 ай бұрын
Yes your right! Did so many bikes that summer i actually didnt notice i was using it! Very sharp sir! If you watch the flathead videos youll see i mentioned that and used conventional oil with zinc in it! I love my observant smart viewers thank you! Your really paying attention ! Good show sir! I will continue to address that in further videos and discuss it! Thank you for watching and for your comment!
