The 1982 to 1988 Honda Big Red was a true legend. Paving the way for whats defined as an all terrain vehicle. The Big Reds are still going today. Heres one.

Hi thank you for posting. I have been riding these trikes for over 20 years, and I know they are not fast in the trails, but they are small enough to fit places quads can't go.

I had one when I was a kid. My 2 step brothers had normal motorbikes, but I had an ATC and I just loved it. I went over jumps and everything

That’s awesome! I remember being on one as a kid but we never had any 3 wheelers!

PANDURO 80 Heck yeah make one...I have not even got to use this thing yet this season not enough snow lol. Even with out chains on...it will plow a ton of snow...

I rode those for years on trails loved them....and could always go places those big 4 wheelers couldn't.... in my eyes the big reds and sx ruled the trails also last year for the big red was 1987
@JerryJrsGarage3 жыл бұрын
Doug Eaton That’s awesome! Yeah I think the big reds once 1985 hit were a new world. I don’t know much or have any experience with the SX but those look like a sport utilities version of the big red. I still use this one occasionally but would for sure love to more often.
@dougeaton24463 жыл бұрын
@@JerryJrsGarage yea the sx was basically the same thing but a sport version I think it was like 3 inches narrower and like 50 pound lighter with a higher 1st and second gear making it more snappy but everything was interchangeable motors, swing arms i think even the triple tree would interchange... awesome machines for the last 3 years... anything pre 85 was mostly hard tails unless you got the racing machines...

Wow!!! Been looking for a plow for my Big Red for work,, Would u be interested in selling it?
@JerryJrsGarage2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching lol that thing is my winter Livelihood 🤣 I can’t sell it but there are plenty options. You could build one or buy one I’m sure. This one just came like that thought it was neat. It’s not effortless like a winch to pull the plow up and down but it’s fun to use.

I was looking for ideas to build a plow frame for my 200 ES.

You say there not that much of a trail bike ,But before the quads started making just 2 tracks they were fine, Nice bike and set up tho ,Thanks for the video.

I remember riding on these as a kid to go help my babysitter feed the farm animals. It was good utility in its day but a total novelty today.
@ricochetey2 жыл бұрын
@@JerryJrsGarage Haha novelty I keep up no problem with quads today, there stuck bogging in mud holes I can just go around them. Just bought a 19 Foreman although more practical just not as fun plain and simple.

The light was purchased with the Big Red new. Very rare piece but you might find one on ebay for big bucks. I was offered $100 lol 😆 add a zero to that would be my guess if you were to even find one

They had a model in 87 too pretty rare though
@mikeshobbiesandrandomstuff5 жыл бұрын
@@xSPACEGAMERZx correct...less than four thousand in the USA produced and no idea how many survived the dealership buy back plan. Honda bought back many of the three wheelers in 87. Some got destroyed and some got turned into four wheelers and sold back to the dealerships.

@@xSPACEGAMERZxHello, fun Side note Honda made 250 Big Red ES all the way into 1988 in Canada but State side 4,750ish is the what rumors say were sold in 1987 here.
