As a lifelong Bama fan the best games of our rivalry was the commentary of Keith Jackson and Frank Broyles and later Keith Jackson and Bob Griese. ROLL TIDE BABY FOREVER!!!!😀😀😀😀😀

And, notice no guts hanging from beltlines of either offensive or defensive lineman. All changed once the Washington Redskins' "Hogs" came into vogue. Nowadays, you need to AVERAGE 300-320 lbs across both lines.

Truly a different era of college football. Once upon a time, ABC used to carry the big SEC showdowns (CBS didn't get the SEC coverage we've come to know until the 1996 season). At the same time as this big SEC game, CBS was showing another game that 1980s college football fans remember (albeit for different reasons)- Miami 58, ND 7

ABC used to televise CFA games due to a lawsuit initiated by Georgia and Oklahoma in 1982. The Big Ten and Pac Ten were not part of that lawsuit so most of their games were broadcasted by CBS.

I didn't get a chance to watch this game on television, only on radio. I was five at the time and will never forget my mother and me jumping up and down to celebrate Van Tiffin's game-winning field goal. My father had gone to the store out of frustration, feeling that Auburn had won the game.

Stupid boosters road Perkins and he bailed to Tampa Bay. The 5-6 season was his demise, but the players were the Bear's recruits. He would have had a NC and he could beat Auburn, something that idiot Bill Curry never did 0-12.

It still doesn't compare to that classic from 11-30-13. Does anybody remember that 1913 classic when #11 ran back that missed field goal...Gosh 100 years ago, how time flies. Did they even have radio in 1913? I would love to see that play. I wonder if the Auburn fans stormed the field?

This game was better because it was in Legion Filed and the stadium was split 50/50. Like the OU/Texas game, that's the way Alabama/Auburn game should be played. The only reason Auburn wanted to move it was because they didn't have much success in Bham.

Michael Little bullshit- because it should be on each campus- not the main field bama plays all their big games on- Denny stadium was a dump so you didn’t play big games there- Dye wanted each schools to have the true on campus home field experience- so he got our stadium addition and we got that game moved- hence bama has to update their home stadium- So you owe Pat Dye a big thanks for putting your stadium renovations into action- you’re welcome- War Damn Eagle!
