It's rare to see a Division 1-AA school host a Division 1-A school.

@@notjmlowe But Shreveport is close to Grambling so close enough and yes very rare even for a Division 1-A to even go to a neutral site that is close to the Division 1-AA school.

Seem as it might could've not been so rare back then, i could remember a 1A Pacific would have an back &forward host series with a 1AA Sacramento State, and seem like back then Grambling State and that site was more of an attraction with coach Robinson and his teams back then, then Corvallis, Oregon home of Oregon State

This was a return match from about 9 years earlier when Grambling went up to Corvallis, OR.

This happened often when the old hbcu league had all the talent. With all the recruiting plus coach prime it will be good again just like the 90s.
@w1hines2 жыл бұрын
You mean like the 70's and 80's? And it is going to take 5 to 10 years and hope Coach Prime is still there. And now the NCAA is allowing the P5's to openly throw large sums of money that bring temptation to keep kids from coming to HBCU's.

@@w1hines the money does have a effect on it very true. Yeah I meant those years but it be nice if prime stuck around get things going.

Just one of the reasons why they recruit our athletes and pamper them with top of the line athletic training and facilities, wg's, and everything under the table.

The Great Pumpkin did not coach the 1985 team. The Civil War game two years before was even worse. It was the last 0-0 tie in college history. I remember listening to this game and someone walking down the street asked me why I didn't root for the underdog. I replied I am rooting for the underdog. I'm rooting for Oregon State.
