Rid the plastic bushing plague in your 1987-93 AOD equipped Fox Body Mustang with a Performance Automatic aftermarket throttle cable. It features a heavy duty casing, it is fully adjustable, and was designed by Performance Automatic for the AOD to be a direct upgrade for your factory cable. Everything needed for installation is in the box.

Couldn't get the cable to work for me.. Accelerator was incredibly stiff. Ended up getting a decent cable from a junkyard.

do you have or can you do a video to replace 1983-1993 MUSTANG AOD TRANSMISSION LINE FITTINGS at the transmission. Cant find a video anywhere to show how to get the fittings off

It's brief, but we show the lines being removed from the transmission in our AOD to T5 conversion video. I'll link it below at the appropriate time stamp. If an aod on an 88 GT isn't shifting into 2nd or 3rd but will to fourth once at 30 in 1st what would be the problem. Could this be a solution. Thanks

My aod transmission has this problem when i put in reverse it only moves 1mph if im on flat ground and if im down hill it wont move at all . can someone please help me !? Please and thank you.

I'm not sure. Ford/Lincoln do some pretty wacky stuff between their models. Just because they share the same engine and transmission, doesn't necessarily mean that parts interchange. I would reference an online group or forum for more information.

I had that cable installed but not happy with it..doesnt move smooth and makes the Pedal working hard ..so i made up my own TV cable with the old one and some parts from the new one ..works nice...but I would not recommend this cable from PA....

50 minutes install ..and no need to cut the old one ??? why doing that...??? only thing ... lost the cutterpin and had to buy one...

Marcel, We cut the old cable just to get it out of the way. We prefer not to have any extra unused cables hanging around!

@@latemodelrestoration you can take that cable out without cutting it apart ..and save time too because, no " 8 tools later" ....in my case maybe all more easy because of the TuB K member and aftermarket Exhaust ..no Cats in the way... but all over an easy install ..just noticed that I had my new cable stored for more then 2 years ..damm
