it's insane that Michael kept racing with half of front wing! For sure, the cars today would fall off the pace with half of front wing. Old School IndyCar's were definitely built different. Incredible!

I attended every LBGP from 75-88. F5000 for the first 3 or 4 years. F1 and Indy cars throughout the years. Different disipline racers used to race together. Cool. Celebrity racers were jokes. They wrecked many Toyota Supras!

I wanted Bobby Rayhal(sp)? to win because he, at the time never won here at Long Beach and I was able to meet him years prior at Ontario Motor Speedway for a meet and greet with teo wheel District 47 AMA members for dinner and a movie in Huntington Beach, CA. I hated it because all the racers were trying to hit on my girlfriend, Anita.
