Back in ’78, Chevrolet almost caused a riot at various dealerships around the country by introducing the special edition ’78 Indy Pace Car Corvette to both commemorate the first (of many) times Corvette was chosen as Pace Car for the 500-mile race and also celebrate Corvette’s 25th Anniversary!
This trend has continued to this day. The second time a Corvette Anniversary Edition was introduced, was in ’88, to commemorate Corvette’s 35th birthday. This very special and pricey Coupe came with an Arctic White exterior with a Black contrasting b-pilar, White painted wheels and special “35th Anniversary” chrome emblems on the front fenders. Inside, the theme continued with a White interior (including the steering wheel!) that featured fully adjustable, dual power, Sport seats, electronic climate control, Delco/Bose audio system, smoked ‘glass removable roof panel, Sport Handling Package. and more!
There were only 2050 of these Anniversary editions built in ’88, making it a rare and sought-after collectible! The car comes with the owner’s kit, spare keys, Window Sticker, Build Sheet, and more!
This particular example has traveled only 32 miles since it rolled out of the Bowling Green Plant! With the exception of tires, the car is basically untouched and in excellent condition throughout and ready for its next caretaker!
