I picked up this 1988 Chevrolet Suburban Scottsdale package locally. It's super dry for our climate and it runs and drives surprisingly well for what it is. But since we can't leave anything well enough, lets make it our own and get it a little closer to the earth and address any issues along the way! I'm getting attached to this one and I've got a TON of labor into it thus far but I'd let it go in the as seen condition for $6,500. If you don't like the price, move along! Re: the AMC content- growing up, our neighbor across the street was lead salesman at an AMC dealership. Because of him, by the age of 13 I had seen just about everything AMC produced at one time or another.

For a 34 year old 'Burban that frame is absolutely spotless! She's certainly been avoiding the salt anyway, stuff here (Western Scotland) is usually already flaking at 2-3 years old 🙄

Ah, memories. I remember when my mom bought one in 88 brand new. It was our family’s first brand new rig. I was 10, and she used to let me drive it around the ranch. One day it rained like mad (I think I was 13 by this time) and my buddies and I took it for a rip around the property when my mom was out and got it stuck. She got home before we finished digging it out of the mud and she was pretty pissed, but part of our punishment was to detail it when it stopped raining, and we absolutely loved it! Hahaha

I worked for a company that installed chicken house equipment in the early 90s and we had an 84 for a work vehicle. That was the toughest thing I ever drove after 2 years it didn't have a straight panel on it. But it was power everything and had a 454 bb. It was an awesome vehicle.

man i cant belive how clean that burb is. concidering the amount rust most everything seems to get up there. its shocking. but nice find!!! love them old sqaure bodys!

That thing has been down a few gravel roads in the past! The interior is full of dusty remnants. It is clean for a square body. Nice find! I bet it will hold lots of birds and beers this fall!
