first thing i would do before any motor work is thoroughly wash and clean all the mud and dirt off the bike before any wrench touches anything...thats like the golden rule in my book...lol

I just bought an 89 cr125. So far I love it but gotta fix rear brakes because I have none but everything looks real easy to fix on this and From what you're saying it sounds like it's super easy to rebuild an engine anyways

Whats the torque specs on an 88 head bolt?

Hey so i have an 88 cr125 and i keep carbon fouling plugs, plus my bike only starts when I have a new plug. My air filter was dirty, getting a new one tomorrow. But what else could it be, once running its fine but if i shut it off it wont start back up, jetting issue?

I would check compression and go thru the carburetor

@@LotLizardDiesel thanks for the help, actually got it fixed recently, compression was low due to rings and the rod bearings were shot and not allowing the alternator magneto magnet to create a proper gap for spark! Would you happen to know if 1985 cr125 side radiator shrouds would fit a 1988? I’ve seen both years and they look identical to me with bolt placement and all

for the gearbox or the oil you mix in your gas
