THAT is the image that was directly right in front of me in Summer of 1988 at the Miami Orange bowl. I was just 15 & I was as close as any fan was to him that day, directly on the wall between the crowd & stage. He's playing his Gibson Explorer "MORE BEER!" guitar. What a day & what great memories! That was 35 years ago, almost to the day (I'm 50 now).

Hardwired is amazing! One of my favorites Metallica's album. Apart from two or three songs, the rest of the album is insane and filled with great riffs, lyrics and melodies. Unfortunately the guys weren't boys anymore when they made it, which for any metal band makes a lot of difference. And what I've always missed listening to Hardwired and wondering how absurd this album would be is exactly with the distortions and James' vocals of the past. And there you have it... Thank you for the wonderful experience. This whole album deserves your work, because if it had been released in 1988, it would have been almost as good as And Justice, in my humble opinion. 🤘

Well, it sounds like it's made from the same cloth like Dyers Eve, I got those vibes after hearing the song but after this version, it really sounds like it. Also, I like that you buried the bass in the mix, on the Hardwired version is present but here, it is just audible and also, the snare sound on the Hardwired album annoyed the hell outta me so, this paper sounding snare, makes the listening a much better experience. Thanks m8, terrific job!

No offense to the vocal covers done over this in the past but this sounds way more like James despite being Ai

James finally had his vicious vocal style dialed in to absolute fcking perfection on AJFA, easily his best vocal performance of all time. He was almost there on MOP, but there was still something missing. He came in with all cylinders fully firing on AJFA, his vocals were so fcking brutal and harsh that they consistently hit with the same crushing force as the music throughout the entirety of the album. It really, really sucks that this turned out to be the last time that he'd be delivering on that level. I'm guessing Bob Rock came onto the scene and "helped" James out by hiring a vocal trainer or some stupid sht like that. We were left with the equivalent of a Hetfield impersonator doing some sort of lounge act comparatively speaking. Thanks a lot Bob, way to go buddy.🙄
