Trends have certainly metamorphosed and evolved since then like now we have better hairstyles and more aesthetically pleasing silhouettes (not suggesting that trends back then were unsightly, its just more accessible these days. Even someone with a one person salary can manage to look fashionable) . But what I meant was from a standpoint of skin and hair quality. People in their early twenties are losing a lot of hair and also lets not leave hair thinning out. And don't get me started on the skin quality (also not suggesting that people back then didn't have bad skin). Forgive me for not specifying it. But I was unaware that one would read so much into it. Sorry you felt it was "NONSESE".

I don't know why people feel nostalgic about these old ads. They are highly priced products for the then struggling middle class projected by showing some unrelatable upper class family shoving English. Most of our dads were struggling to make both ends meet to buy a B/W portable TV where they show some rare to see British accented rich families vacationing

Many people are commenting on the british accent and then the nestle products well i wont say today but what growth india achieved post liberalisation from 1992 to 2016( of course now its in complete shambles) is also bcos of english language..my mother tongue is marathi n my schooling was in marathi medium but i studied english and it gave me a world platform..also i notice that most of the hindi belt people always downgrade english..is that the reason you guyz migrate to maharashtra and the south leaving your shuddh hindi states.
