If you use Fbody engine accessory mounting brackets, those WP spacers wouldn't be necessary. ICT Billet explains the parameters of the different styles of mounting on the various LS engines from '97-'14, YbODY, Fbody, GM Truck, Sigma, Zeta platforms, respectively.

If you use an extension to torque your head bolts you need to add five more foot pounds because I did the same thing and I had an oil leak so I had to go back into my engine and retort my boats 5 lb more because I use the extension

Please get a high quality oil catch can for the PCV system on the engine. Preferably one with a breathable filter. I use the Mighty Mouse brand on my L94 & LQ4.

When installing heads make a habit of putting at least one bolt in the center hand tightened if you're mocking up both sides of the engine.
