Lowest mileage IROC is a Black 85 w/ 3 miles on her! 5 speed manual though! $27,500 i believe if not mistaken!

About 12 years ago i blew up my freshly rebuilt 700r4 transmission twice(bad trans guy), Turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because my 1990 IROC is still sitting in my garage! i had just completed the interior with a new carpet, if i had kept driving it it would be beat by now, im so glad,..... i always said i will never sell my IROC.

The still had the headlight paint option. I've got an 89 Iroc and it's all stock paint and everything and it has the black paint around the headlamps.

I take it this car has sold years ago, boy I sure hope whoever bought this car will take as good care of it as the first owner did. I would buy this if it was still for sale.

get it out of the way! gnx behind you. ha. i actually had an 87 5.7 tpi great car. white. no t-tops. red leather seats and carpet. frigin disco machine. i towed two 16ft boats from long beach ny to vegas and back. sold it with 120k on it. no issues. it came with an oil cooler and i added a tranny cooler. no cat. flowmaster etc.. ran great for years. as they say i drove it till the wheels fell off. ha.

my friend had an 88 iroc z (130,XXX miles though)with the 5.7 it was so fun to just drive around in then someone totaled it while he had it parked outside a football game.

Well Tony you may have a 89 Iroc with 9985 kms.Really nice car you have there. I have a 1991 Z28 all original with red leather that was custom ordered. The rims on my car is not original. It's the way I baught it. Some day I will put it on here. My car only has 47000 original kms. The interior is flawless Except for one little wear spot on the leather on the driver side. It was appraised at 20,000 in 2010.

The 5.7 only came with automatic A4, there was also an available 5.0 liter 305 TPI that could be had with either the A4 or 5M tranny. If i remember though the 5.7 was the most popular engine. I had a 1989 black with blue stripe and silver letters - wish id kept that car!

back in the 80's that was considered fast.

I think in 89 they got rid of the decals when they put the IROC badge on the rocker panel.

I'd put my 1990 firebird 350 against many TA 455's, in 1973, Hot Rod Magazine rated a factory stock SD 455,73 Trans Am at a 1/4 mile time of 13.54 ...They got weaker year after year, the 1990 Iroc & firebirds were coin low to mid 14's ..

All 350 Irocs were automatics... Js

I hate to burst your bubble but hat definitely is all original. Option code DX3 offered buyers the option of deleting the IROC-Z's door decals and stripes.

ive got an 86 iroc wit 65K original miles. Same color and t-tops.

They made a lot of IROC's with the 5 speed. However, none of them came with the 5.7

Doesn't matter because what you guys think, whose better or not it's all from the same category of BEAST. Doesn't need any kind of hi-tech bull shit on it. Just a body, engine, and deep rev is all you need to have fun in your ride.

that,s right the manual was only available with the 305 engine. I had a 89 5.7 and within 3k miles I could see cracks forming across the roof from the rear corners of the T top at the center bar running to the hatch back. a 5.7 with a manual would put too much torque on the body. I had a buddy with a swapped in manual but he also had a salvage yard non T top roof added to the car to stiffen it up.

Your 455 TA is in a different league so of course it would. Against cars of its own class though it would do pretty good.

The only thing they change was the black and grey stripe that goes around the lower part of the body that really made it look great that someone seemed to remove. Booo great car though loved them back in HS the good old days=)

@SealedBMX aug to dec 1989 was the 1990 irocs man to have a 5 speed 5.7 convertible 1990 iroc would be cool only a couple hundred of those made!

You ever sell that iroc? My buddy had one ( 5.7 ) in black but someone t boned him and it was totaled ( he's ok ) just wondering if you still have that iroc... always loved em lol

the 5.7 did not get a manual trans option because the transmission was rated to handle only 300ftlbs of tor. and the 5.7 was said to have 345ftlbs of tor. which in turn means it would destroy the trans. GM would warrent a car if they knew for sure it couldnt handle it. in 89 the 5.7 350 was rated at 235hp 335ftlbs of tor. and if you had the dual cat option 245hp and 345ftlbs of tor. enjoy.

Just bought an '89 IROC. 160K kilometres on it. I'm happy though. It was well driven. Besides, not driving a Camaro to keep the mileage low is like not having sex with your girlfriend because you want her to be more appealing to her next boyfriend...

When does the seller mention DX3? Aint no telling what it is without a clip of the RPO sticker. That said, it dont matter anymore.

hey i hate to inform you but a camaro or firebird 82 - 92 any sub model if it t -top it is a 305 ask any camaro expert or junky i have built 18 of them and the sterring wheel is a 84-86 model

A guy in my naighborhood had one I think it was a 1990 or 91 red I think he had the 5.7 v8. And he had a 78 z28 in white I think both were very low miles.

I'm assuming this has the DX3 (decal & stripe delete) option... ...but there is a couple items that don't seem to add up, but I'm not going to get into all that right now. I'd like to see the RPO sticker in the console to actually de-code this car. Salesman are so smeegie...LOL!!!

As far as I know you could not get "t" tops with a 350 engine either. The torque would "pop"them out .My order sheet for my `1990 1LE- IROC would not let it be ordered that way.

there is an RPO code that allowed you to order the car decal free.

Very nice car. I have a 1988 iroc-z28 5.7 liter. Always garage kept. Second owner. Same paint color as yours. Has all the factory options.Has The gold 16 in's rims. 7,500 org miles. P/S P/B C/C A/C T/S P/W P/S Over head console with map lights.fog lights. transmission cooler radiator. shift kit. Have not drove the can in two years because of back surgery. Wonder what it is worth. would love to sell it and get a 1970's corvette.
