Originally produced by BBC Rally Report and presented by William Woollard, with additional commentary and reporting by Alan Douglas, Richard Hudson-Evans and Tony Mason. Those notes at the end with Lewelin are great. No shouting, nice and simple without the millions of over complicated descriptions they have nowadays.

well you say that but colin was always using the 1-6 from 1995, its not a super new thing

Yes it`s notes in a way, but if you look, he translate them straight from the map via a magnifying glass which makes it even moore impressive at that pace.

Of course Ari was a hugely popular driver. But the British fans had also taken Pentti Airikkala to their hearts by this point too. He was a popular winner all the same.

VHS Rallies Yep for sure a popular result. Untill the last day I wonder how many thought Pentti would be near the top of the leader table

I changed where i was standing to the entrance of that S bend, just before the stage became live, where as for my mates they stayed where they were and subsequently part of that group falling backwards lol
