Amazing and hilarious behind the scenes on Lethal Weapon 2 created by Mel Gibson. Found this on one of my old VHS tapes from HBO. Lots of footage at Warner Brothers Studio in Burbank. 26 minutes

I’ve had the great pleasure of meeting Mel at a bar when I was vacationing in Malibu and he was a very down to earth guy and bought me a beer, this documentary also shows how down to earth and humorous the guy is and really what other actor would take the time to do this sort of thing and also include the entire cast and crew in on it? The best part was he actually remembered peoples names on the set instead of calling them what they did on it. It just seems like a lot of fun to do while also doing the film, and the fun spirit of it is great, and informative!

I mean when the video camera came out like the hand held ones everybody was filming. Yeah he said some shit when he was drunk but he seems like a good dude at heart. Most of the people who judged him have said similar things behind closed doors or to themselves. It’s awesome to see these though. Hollywood was so different.

The fact that they were shooting this literally alongside another Warner Bros classic “Christmas Vacation” was amazing. Think about the work that went into the set design and the crews that made that happen. They had to turn the Murtaughs house into “Todd and Margot’s” pretentious contemporary place. Then add all the snow to the entire neighborhood! Always these behind the scenes videos. What a shame we’ll never see another LW film after losing Richard Donner last year.

I can't believe I found this absolute gem of a documentary. Showed a lot of the cast's personality and is a goal for film set environments. Mel and Danny were frickin awesome in the movie together, but I absolutely loved seeing them as goofballs in this. Gibson also showed off a little of his directing skills in this with some of the skits. Then when Danny Glover came out and started break dancing after they were referring to him as a wild partier, my eyes almost popped out of my head. Really funny

Gibson was and is always a macho and a show-off, in his films as in real life. I never liked him because he was unaturally rather and unrealistic in his behavior that of a 5 year old boy. Something reminds me of Klaus Kinski who was always in love with himself and the only thing that counted was money nothing more.
