Okay, Underhill and Martini were a delight. They really skated as one. Unfortunately, I think the Carruthers were underscored. Not only did the Carruthers have a great program, Kitty has legendary lines. Barbara's lines are classic, too, but Kitty is the idea pairs skater and her lines were exquisite. (Jill Watson was the carbon copy, just a few years later. Those ladies really showcased the importance of ladylike lines). Unfortunately, when skating with your brother, there's only so much you're willing to do. I get it. There's only so much "intimacy" you're willing to portray on ice. So, Underhill and Martini had the upper hand in this case.
