that jets fan who thought coslet was the next lombardi was on something. He also wanted scott mitchell what an interview in retrospect

The most uninformed Jets fan ever--even more than the dude at the '83 Draft that thought the reason they didn't take Marino was because the Jets had "inside information" lol.

*And* he was ecstatic about Blair Thomas. 0-3

@@xman777b the coaching statement is one thing and the odds of anyone being lombardi is unlikely but to be excited about what was considered the top RB at the time is completely understandable

@slothkng I was around then. Pretty much everyone missed on Blair Thomas. Even still, smart teams (Jimmy Johnson etc) would've taken Cortez Kennedy in that slot. Typical Jets move.

@@xman777b i agree had dallas not taken walsh in the supplemental draft (for whatever reason with Troy being there already) Kennedy would have been a perfect fit for them

Everyone looked older back in the day, looking back on old tapes.

I've heard it argued that a major reason behind this is that there is a hair and clothing fashion for youth that eventually lingers to some degree as they become middle aged and then older...so, as then next generation matures, that "look" is associated with older people, leading to that same look in old pictures and video of 20 year olds making them seem older.

32:09 Marc Spindler would have to wait until the 3rd round, the 62nd overall pick before getting drafted by the Lions. He spent 9 years in the NFL.

After hearing that little story about the Raiders draft pick, thought that was kind of inspiring with him lovercoming a rough childhood and making it in the nfl. But then I looked him up and he is currently serving life in prison for multiple murders. So much for that lol, pretty crazy

There were a couple of players Renaldo Turnbull and Lamar Lathan that became players for the new Carolina Panthers in 1995 and 1997 respectively.
