I had one for a few years with the stock carb. I could either set it up to be easy to start when cold or easy to start when hot...never both. It was frustrating. However, I loved the machine. Great trail bike. Good around town.

It needs the Jet kit it is super lean cold and that is why. The Jet kit will fix it.

Hi, what is the type of carburettor? It's the same mikuni with a pump? Or what?

@@davideddu1213 TM33 bought new but got spark but really hard to start. Like a fuel problem going to work on it more today on day off. Checked spark, valves were OK and not sure what is going on.

@@mt1885 check your carb i had everything for mine to run, like valves are in spec, timing is dead on , id check the carb like the main throttle body.. carbs get wicked dirty lol

I know old drs start different for each person it seems....but, I don't understand finding TDC with decomp lever. I have a 1990. With not being started for a bit, I pull in decomp, kick three x, then release lever, once lever pops out, one kick and it starts. If the bike was running within a few days, pull in decomp lever, one kick thru, then release, once decomp lever pops, kick. Starts first time.

where did you find that rear fender ? also is the pumper the aftermarket one and the vacuum carb is the stock one ? On my dr350 I have the stock vacuumed one I think but I've plug the vacuum because I've switched th fuel petcock to the yamaha raptor one(that fits perfectly) .... also what is your sprocket ratio because on my dr the front end don't lift that way lol and I have a brand new cylinder and piston.
@thambu19 Жыл бұрын
The bike is sold but the rear sprocket was more street oriented for easy cruising

The previous owner changed the fender. Front is acerbis maybe back too

You would be the perfect person to ask. I am struggling if I should buy a DRZ400 or a DR350. The light weight and the 6th gear sounds ideal but the aftermarket parts for the DRZ and extra power is also a good selling point. Any thoughts please send them my way.
@thambu19 Жыл бұрын
I own the DRZ400 now and the power is night and day different. The reliability is equal to DR if not better. Absolutely go with the DRZ if you can. 15k miles and still valves have not moved
@thambu19 Жыл бұрын
The lack of 6th gear isn't as evident as I thought it would be. Im able to cruise 70mph easy.

GREAT video can you made a VIDEO on how to START The DR350S with PUMPER CARB when it is HOT (after riding it). I cranked and cranked on mine and had to push start it at a gas station. What technique you use to START after riding it and warm?

Never had to do anything special hot vs cold. I just didn't have to use the choke when hot
