I owned a new 87 same car, same engine. Mine was Grey with grey/silver leather. $27,486.00 when new. Beautiful Car. I miss that car. Mine had a Moon Roof. Mine had lousy paint. I couldn't believe it. I had it repainted at 4 years old. It came up gorgeous.

Beautiful Caddy. Very thorough presentation and even touched on fuel economy. If fuel economy is even a remote priority then this is not the car for you.

I agree. There were at least 4 variations of light blue that Cadillac used between 1980 and 1992 and I like this one the best. It is simply named Light Sapphire Blue. Color code 8966.

The paint on your car was used in the early 80's. GM did use it on some of their Cadillac's. I noticed your car did not have the locking license plate option on it. I find that very curious as to why! When this car was made you'd practically have to order the car with out that option for it to not have it. I'd also like to know from the original owner what happened to the car on the passenger side. Why was it re-painted like you said along with the stick on pin stripping.

It is interesting that you have seen so many with the locking license plate. In my experience it seems that only about 20% of Broughams have that feature. I did have all of the cladding off this car to re-paint it and it appears that only the passenger front door was worked. It looks like the adjacent panels were painted to blend the color. Whatever it was was superficial.

@@southerncadman7066 -- If it was superficial then I'd say you have a pretty good car. I'd simply have the whole car repainted and the pin stipes painted on. The fact that you acknowledge this issue with the car up front speaks volumes on your integrity and I for one do appreciate it. New subscriber here. Look forward to more video's of rolling art.
