Sorry this happened to you. Flashing S light is almost always the TCU. First time I ran into this, was a $50 fix on ebay.

Thank's man .. you helped found my solution to my problem.. i changed all the solenoids...vehicle speed sensor & TCU .. car back to normal

the problem was the S light, we got it fixed and so many diagnosis was a pain in the ass all it needed was a new computer and it was fixed and i havnt had a problem with it

I have the same problem thanks for the info. I've been bringing my 91 back from the dead. I bought the car for 400 bucks, it has 290k... My speedometer also is not working regularly. I am eyeballing the speed sensor as the issue, Maybe the TCU has something to do with that too?

I have a 1991 Honda Accord myself I noticed a light flashing the other day I looked it up it said it cuz most likely will be an electrical issue not a mechanical issue remember that my the ground wire on my battery was loose so I cut the car off I disconnected the negative ends wait about 20 seconds I didn't put it back on and make sure it was tight. after that the light went away so maybe just something simple man I'd at least try that

Make sure to get an auto scanner when you get a new car. Do your homework when you're dealing with salesmen (auto/real estate) or someone that's going to fix anything expensive, like your car and home. I live in NYC so I've grown up dealing with con-artists. I've had problems with my 92 Accord and have found the solutions on You Tube. Last year my car wouldn't start and this mechanic wanted to fix everything...I said I'd rather get rid of the car...saw a video from Eric the Mechanic (he does vids on Hondas) where he said that Main Relays were the problems with Accord starting problems. I soldered the main relay and BAM..car has always started since then. No money spent!

My crankshaft bolt broke while driving my 91 exr tuesday. Normaly they just require maintence done but just like any other auto crap happens anyway if i saw her video earlier before wasteing all that money i would have helped sorry just came across it unforntualty there are shady mechanics and shade tree mechanics i be the latter plan to rebuild mine right

Man you should not spent any penny on that car it's 1991 i have the same car a year older and have the same problem. the problem is some capacitors gone bad in the transmission modular (computer), take this as good lesson never take your car to mechanic or shop because you have 100% possibility you will get ripped off always do some researches and dont spend over 100$ on car over than 20 years old.
